Abbotsford House was built by and lived in by Sir Walter Scott. Visitors will see his study and library containing over 9000 rare volumes. Drawing room, entrance hall and armouries. The dining room, over looking the River Tweed, is where Sir Walter died on 21 September 1832. There are also extensive gardens and grounds and visitors can view the private chapel which was added after Scott's death.
